Japanese Tradition & Western Modernism
By stylizing certain elements, a band was created between two different stylistic epochs. SOAR ORGANICS is headquartered in Canada, so the new appearance had to take Western modernity and Japanese traditions into account. The matcha tea from Japan has been used since the 12th. Century because of their healing properties. This rich history and tradition appears subtly in the new aesthetics of SOAR ORGANICS.
In the course of research, about the history of the medicinal plant, we came across the tatami. Tatami are mats made of rice straw, which were used between 794 - 1185 in Japan as floors in traditionally designed rooms. They have a defined size of 180 x 90 cm. The traditional Japanese tea houses where matcha is drunk are all built according to the dimensions of the tatami. Thus, the entire design grid of SOAR ORGANICS is also based on the traditional tatami from Japan.
